Olivia “Oli” Muñoz is an interdisciplinary student affairs professional with experience in residential education and social justice programming. She currently serves as the Director of Residential Life & Community Standards at Mills College, a historically Women’s college in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her experience includes support for undocumented students, first-generation scholars, and promoting creativity and art-making in higher education.
Along with seeing the world and meeting new people, Oli is passionate about education, storytelling, and the arts. She has a B.A. in Journalism and Art from Central Michigan University, a Master of Fine Arts in Nonfiction Writing from California State University, Fresno, and received her doctorate in International and Multicultural Education at the University of San Francisco in 2017. She previously sailed as a Resident Director on the Fall 2016 voyage and is excited to travel to new countries! Oli was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, a small, blue-collar town north of Detroit. She now calls Oakland, California, home.
