Pat Larsen


Dr. Patricia Larsen has recently retired from the position of Director the Student Counseling Center at the University of Colorado Denver.  She is a licensed clinical psychologist who has spent her professional career at universities as a teaching faculty member, counselor, supervisor and administer.

Pat received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University, her masters from Valparaiso University and her doctorate  from University  of Denver.

Pat feels very fortunate to look back on a long and fulfilling career working college students, her passion. She served on the board and as president of the Association of university and college counseling centers.  Recently, she was named outstanding staff member of the year by the offices of student success and diversity and inclusion.

Pat is elated to anticipate her 5th voyage. Pat counts Semester at Sea as one of her  most impactful life opportunities.  Each journey has opened her heart and mind to new ways of understanding the world and herself. Each journey has also brought life long friendships.

For Fall ’17  she hopes that together we will create an inclusive,supportive, and fun shipboard community as we step out of our “land lives” and open ourselves to new friends and amazing experiences!
