Patricia O’Neill is a Professor of History at Central Oregon Community College and an Adjunct Professor of History at University of Oregon Cascades Campus, in Bend, Oregon. She earned her B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania, her M.A. in History from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and her Ph.D. in History from the University of Washington. She teaches a variety of history courses in European history, world history, East Asian history and women’s history. Patricia is a Recipient of the Burlington Northern Faculty Achievement Award for Excellence in Teaching as well as a participant in the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Seminar for Teachers, “Comparative Institutional History: Ottoman Turks and Ming China” at Princeton University. She has served on the Executive Committee of the American Historical Association and is a past member of the Executive Committee of the World History Association. She has sailed on the Fall 2008 voyage and the Summer 2010 voyage.
