Rebecca Oliphant

Rebecca J. Oliphant, Ph.D is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Stetson University in Florida. She
teaches International Marketing, Professional Selling and Marketing Decision Making at Stetson and has
been a visiting professor at FA in Kufstein, Austria for the past four years where she teaches twice a year
the classes of Consumer Behavior and Advertising. She was recently appointed as a Graduate Faculty
Scholar in the College of Graduate Studies at the University of Central Florida. Rebecca has organized
trips for Stetson students to such places as Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Austria, Germany,
Italy and Hong Kong. She was at Tokyo Disney with students during the earthquake of 2011. Rebecca
had a poster session at NAFSA in 2011 on International Student Perceptions of Travel to the U.S. and her
research interests are on international studies as well as career planning. She graduated from California
University of Pennsylvania with both her BA and her M.Ed and counts Disney and NBC as former
employers. Rebecca received her Ph.D. in Organizational Communication and Management from The
Florida State University. In 2010 Dr. Oliphant received the “Teacher of the Year Award” for the School
of Business Administration.
