Textbook Co-Coordinator

Shauna Fleming

Shauna Fleming joins the Spring 2014 voyage as co-Textbook Coordinator. This is her second full semester voyage, with the first being in Spring 2010 as a student. Fleming received a BA in public relations and advertising from Chapman University. She currently works in corporate development and franchising for Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants in Southern California. Fleming is the founder and president of A Million Thanks, a non-profit organization which has collected and distributed more than six million letters of appreciation to U.S. troops around the world. She has partnered with General Motors, Southwest Airlines, Shutterfly, and NASCAR to raise awareness for military support, and President Bush recognized her efforts in a private White House ceremony. Fleming serves on the SAS Young Alumni Council and her passions include films, adventure-seeking, and speaking to audiences on the “power of one”. She is thrilled to be sailing on the upcoming 50th anniversary voyage and is most looking forward to visiting South Africa!
