Stacey Miller currently serves as the Assistant Provost for Inclusion and Student Success Services at Valparaiso University. Formerly, she served as the Director of Residential Life in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Vermont, a position she has held from 2003 to 2015. She is also the co-founder and managing partner for the Consortium for Inclusion & Equity (CIE), LLC, a small consulting firm that specializes in integrated diversity education and management.
Over the course of her career she has served as both an administrator in student affairs and higher education, and lecturer for the University of Vermont’s Higher Education and Student Affairs graduate program. She is nationally recognized for her work with affirmative recruitment of diverse staff, and educational trainings and workshops on diversity and inclusion. She is also sought out for her growing knowledge and expertise in the use of Restorative Practices in collegiate residential settings, elementary and secondary education.
Stacey Miller received her doctorate of Education in Leadership and Policy Studies from the College of Education and Social Services at the University of Vermont, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies from Stony Brook University. She also serves as a Board of Trustee for the International Institute for Restorative Practices Graduate School in Bethlehem, PA. She is also the proud parent of two adult children, her son Jelani and daughter Taylor.
