Steve Adams-Smith is a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State. As an American diplomat, Steve has represented the United States in Russia, Estonia, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic. He has also served in the State Department’s 24-hour Operations Center, as the desk officer for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris, as a foreign policy adviser to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and as the head of the European Bureau’s office with responsibility for U.S. engagement in human rights. Steve and his wife Kelly joined the Foreign Service together and have two children. Steve graduated from Kalamazoo College with a major in political science and from Harvard University with a focus in Middle Eastern history and politics.
