Todd Shank

Todd M. Shank, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Finance, College of Business Administration at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg. Shank earned his PhD in Finance from the University of Central Florida, and both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from West Virginia University. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 2003 in the People’s Republic of China, where he taught corporate financial management in the graduate school at Sun Yat-sen University, and has run international programs in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Shank formerly worked for the U.S. Treasury Department as a banking regulator and has been teaching, consulting, and writing for over 26 years. During that time, he has served on the faculties of three universities, published two textbooks and twenty-two academic articles in journals including Journal of Business Ethics, Managerial Finance, Global Business and Finance Review, Journal of Foreign Exchange and International Finance, and the Journal of Investing, among others. He has received numerous teaching awards, including the University of Portland’s Teacher of the Year and their Pamplin School of Business Best Graduate Professor honor. He served as Associate Dean and Graduate Program Director at the Pamplin School from 1998-2003. Shank teaches in the areas of Investments, Financial Markets, and International Finance.
