Vince is a board-certified family physician and is the Director of Medical Services at Boise State University Health Services in Boise, Idaho. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from Virginia Tech in 1987. He received both his Master of Science in Biochemistry and Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia. Vince completed his residency at the University of Washington’s Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in 1998. During his residency, Vince spent a month at Hospital Vozandes del Oriente, Shell-Mira, Ecuador, where he became interested in travel and international medicine. After residency, he practiced full-spectrum family medicine in a community health center where he took care of patients in clinic, hospital, and the intensive care unit. He also learned Spanish quickly while delivering hundreds of babies. Vince came to Boise State University in 2004, where he now takes care of the health needs of college students. His clinical interests include wilderness and travel medicine, and reproductive health. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Wilderness Medical Society, and the American College Health Association. Vince loves fly-fishing for trout with his wife in the rivers of Idaho. He also enjoys passing the family tradition of building and sailing wooden boats to his daughters.
