Zaibis sailed as a student on the Spring 2008 voyage and fell in love not only with the humanity of the world, but with the Semester at Sea program. She has since sailed on 2 enrichment voyages and has visited more than 30 countries both with SAS and independently. Zaibis received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) in religion with a minor in Theories and Politics of Sexuality. She went on to pursue her master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration with a concentration in conflict analysis resolution at Nova Southeastern University.
She currently resides in New York City where she works at The Fashion Institute of Technology in housing operations. Zaibis has a passion for diversity, inclusivity and student development and enjoys any conversation surrounding those topics. Her favorite part of her profession is the connections that she makes with people from all walks of life. She believes that she is in the life changing business and every encounter or interaction is an opportunity to impact someone’s life. Whether large or small she tries to always make it positive.
In her free time she likes to explore NYC, catch a crossfit WOD or just read a good book. She is so happy to be sailing this fall and is looking forward to all of the new experiences it will bring.
