Zoe Bulaitis is a graduate student in the School of English at the University of Exeter, UK where she also holds a BA and MA in English Literature with specialism in Criticism and Theory. Zoe’s PhD thesis focuses on the relationship of ‘value’ between British higher education policy and the Humanities. Zoe is also interested in the representation of education in popular culture and she bridges research and popular culture in her blog (http://zoebulaitis.blogspot.co.uk/). Zoe is a Teaching Assistant in the school of English at the University of Exeter, and teaches, Literary Studies, Literary Criticism and Cultural History to undergraduate students. She is a passionate teacher and was recognised as the ‘Best Postgraduate Teacher’ in the college of Humanities this year. Zoe is looking forward to working with students on the Global Lens courses and within the Writing Centre on the ship. Zoe is committed to the benefit of exploration through travel. Zoe was lucky enough to sail on Semester at Sea in Fall 2014 as a Teaching Assistant, and looks forward to bringing her experiences on this Spring 2016 voyage. Zoe is most excited about getting back on board and connecting with people across cultures, countries and continents!
