Your cooking challenge will be hands-on and organized as a friendly cooking party. Each participant will discover local kitchenware to realize 4 tasty dishes inspired by the well-known Hoa Tuc’s kitchen. Of course, we only use whole fresh ingredients for a better understanding of Vietnamese Cuisine.

Meet a chef at Ben Thanh market who will explain the rules of “market race and treasure hunt” and guide you through the colorful and vibrant produce section. Splitting into 2 teams with the given pocket money and a shopping list, participant have to buy ingredients at the market while having the best bargain. Then head to Hoa Tuc restaurant for cooking challenge. Before starting the challenge our master Chef and 2 assistants will proceed to a chef demonstration and explain how to use Vietnamese kitchenware before people start to cook. Team’s leaders will have to organize their team and following a cooking mission participant will have to realize different dishes. According to different criteria (taste, food presentation and best market bargain) our jury will award the winning team with fun gift. All participants will have a nice folder with the 4 recipes they have cooked.

After the lunch with the cooked dishes, our group is transferred back to the port or may stay downtown for further exploration.

Itinerary

Day 1

Participants should be flexible, timing depends on traffic status, & local conditions

14:30 – 14:45 Depart from port then transfer to Ben Thanh market

 

4:45 – 15:45 Market race and treasure hunt

 

15:45 – 16:00 Drive to Hoa Tuc restaurant

 

16:00 – 17:30 Cooking demonstration and cooking challenge

 

17:30 – 17:45 Award Ceremony

 

17:45 – 18:45 Have dinner

 

18:45 – 19:00 Transfer back to the port
