North-west of Hanoi and not too far from the border with neighboring China, Sapa is Việt Nam’s premier destination for trekking and adventure. Best known for its diversity of hill tribes and minority villages, this remote outpost, a former French hill station, is located at an elevation of 1650 meters (5,413 ft) above sea level.

Hike through rice fields, sleep in a traditional house on stilts and interact with isolated communities. In addition to an adventure in nature, this program also provides an introduction to Hanoi, the capital. Ha Noi retains much of its historical charm and, with an eclectic mix of Asian tempo and French refinement, Việt Nam’s capital is a city to be savored. The labyrinthine streets of Ha Noi’s Old Quarter are the ideal place in which to wander and observe daily life.
