Kathy and Bill Meleyco
Kathy and Bill Meleyco met as students on Semester at Sea in the Fall of 1974. Bill returned to sail on the Spring 1975 voyage. Today, the Meleycos split their time between the San Francisco Bay and Lake Tahoe areas. Their son, Cole, sailed on the Summer 2010 voyage, and like his father, enjoyed it so much that he returned immediately for a second voyage in the Fall of 2010. The Meleycos joined the Parents Council in January 2011 and have spearheaded the Buddy System program— in which Parent Council members contact parents of prospective/upcoming voyagers to answer questions and offer perspective about the program. Kathy and Bill have attended many Bon Voyage and Welcome Home events to support parents. They look forward to discussing the Semester at Sea program with you.
