Scholarship Description

The Institute for Shipboard Education (ISE) is pleased to offer a $10,000 scholarship for students attending a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) to participate in spring or fall Semester at Sea voyages. All participants receive a full semester’s worth of undergraduate credits from the Colorado State University.

ISE believes that international exposure is a critical element in today’s undergraduate education, offering students a real-life global education experience that will give them an edge in this highly competitive job market. The program is open to students, regardless of their major.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:

  • Maintain full-time undergraduate enrollment at a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI)  that is a member of HACU
  • Demonstrated leadership through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other a

Submission of Scholarship Application:

This scholarship requires you to video blog throughout your voyage.  Please answer the essay question in a 2 – 3 minute video and email to scholarships@semesteratsea.org .   Include the following in the body of the email: name, voyage, home school, and HACU scholarship.
