Slideshow: Herculaneum and Vesuvius

Sidestepping Pompeii, the better-known village left in the wake of Mt. Vesuvius’ 79AD eruption, students explored the ruins of Herculaneum. The impression they were left with is much the same as far as how easy it is to practically touch the day-to-day lives of those who lived there, but with their visit the students and professor hope to raise awareness of the preservation work left to be done there.
