All voyagers must board between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. PST on Friday, December 28. The ship will depart from San Diego, California at 7:00 p.m. PST from the B Street Pier at the Port of San Diego.
The ship will return to San Diego at 11:00 a.m. on January 1, 2019. We encourage you to book your flight for no earlier than 4:00 p.m. on January 1, 2019. Due to port security, customs and the number of people who will be disembarking, we cannot guarantee you will make your flight if you choose to make it earlier than 4:00 p.m.
Getting to the San Diego Cruise Ship Terminal is extremely convenient. The San Diego International Airport and the Santa Fe Depot Transit Center are conveniently located in the middle of the city and just a 10-minute trip.
The San Diego International Airport (SAN) is approximately 2.5 miles from the San Diego Cruise Ship Terminal or about 10 minutes driving. The Transportation Plazas at the airport have taxicabs standing by for your convenience and reservations are not required.
Should you choose to travel by train, the Santa Fe Depot Transit Center is located two blocks east of the Cruise Ship Terminal and is approximately a 10 minute walk. There are not likely taxis standing by, so please coordinate appropriately.
For our local guests and those driving to San Diego, the terminal is located just west of downtown and can be accessed via Broadway. Guest drop-off is permitted, but there are no parking options on the pier.
B Street Cruise Ship Terminal

Semester at Sea reserved rooms at two hotels for the nights of 12/27/2018 and 1/1/2019.
The Intercontinental Hotel is located across the street from the cruise ship terminal. Guests of Semester at Sea are offered a rate of $189/night. The Embassy Suites is located just a couple blocks south of the terminal. They are offering SAS guests a rate of $159/night. To make reservations, can call 1-800-EMBASSY or click here to book rooms for 12/27 and here to book rooms for 1/1.
These room blocks expire on November 27.
The Intercontinental Hotel has more than 300 public parking spaces and is conveniently located at 901 Bayfront Court, less than a quarter mile from the cruise ship terminal.
