See and learn the delicate technique that is required to make footballs (soccer balls) with the friendly and skillful employees of Alive and Kicking. Founded in 2004 by former Westminster School teacher Jim Cogan OBE, Alive and Kicking makes durable, affordable sports balls and runs sports-based health awareness programs in Kenya, Zambia, and Ghana. Their unique model and innovative approach address real problems of poverty unemployment and preventable disease in Africa through their outreach to communities around Ghana.

After your tour of the factory, your workshop will take you through the three stages of how to make a FIFA approved ball and you’ll test your own skills at creating a ball inside out. The workshop will culminate in a friendly football match and at the end of the day, you’ll return to the ship with your own memorabilia ball and some great memories to go along with it.
