Spend the day at the City of Refuge Children’s Village, in the Volta Region, a grassroots organization that cares for children who have been trafficked, orphaned, or abandoned. Their mission is prevention and intervention of human trafficking, along with restoration of children’s lives through their residential school. By fostering a nurturing environment that provides education, recreation, and spiritual fulfillment, City of Refuge is able to promote the value of each child’s life and spread awareness of human trafficking. During the visit, time meeting kids and working on a variety of projects, including tutoring in the classroom.
