Welcome to your port city of Cochin, or Kochi! At the venue you will be welcomed with traditional Aarti and Tikka. It is a great time to meet other students from universities in Kerala and people from different walks of life. In the evening, you will witness a dance performance on Mohinyattam and Bharatanatyam – a traditional South Indian dance from Kerala. You will also enjoy high tea with South Indian snacks.

“It was an amazing way to embrace the country and their people for the first time.” – Megan R. Spring 2016 Student Voyager

“Great program with lots to do and people to meet…I loved the dancing and the interactions between our students and their students” – Katy W. Spring 2016 Student Voyager

“Interacting with the college students was a great experience. I really felt like I got a quick taste of Indian culture through this field program by getting a henna, watching the Mohiniyattam and Bharatnatyam dances, and learning how to correctly put on a saree.” – Brittany L. Spring 2016 Student Voyager
