On this half day culinary program you will travel by public transport to Osaka with a local guide. Osaka is known throughout Japan as the land of kuidaore, meaning “eat till you drop.” A walk in Kuromon Market, nicknamed “Osaka’s kitchen,” will give you an idea of just how serious Osakans are about their food.

Next, you will have the chance to enjoy a unique experience. Japanese restaurants often have displays outside with incredibly realistic and detailed samples of their dishes made with a special wax. You will see how these unique sculptures are created and then try your hand at the artistry (under the guidance of the talented staff), which you can keep as a one-of-a-kind souvenir!

Next you stroll to the Namba area, a true food lover mecca overflowing with tasty eateries. Here you will have an early dinner where you will try Osaka’s soul food: okonomiyaki, a sort of savory pancake cooked on a hotplate right in front of you. Not only is it delicious, but it is also fun to eat!
