Debark the ship and transfer to Stellenbosch. We leave Cape Town this morning and head towards the famous Cape Winelands set below the dramatic range of mountains known as the “Hottentots Holland”. Whitewashed homesteads nestling under avenues of oaks, rolling green hills covered with wild flowers, fertile valleys alive with the sounds of surging streams, restaurants with French names and Dutch flavours… such is the setting of the Winelands, home of some of the world’s finest wines and Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa after Cape Town.

The Foodies on Foot tour will provide you with the unique opportunity to sample the flavours of Stellenbosch as you enjoy top quality, locally produced artisan food and drinks. Your tour will take you past the five oldest streets in Stellenbosch, through the old town center to discover its colorful history, view the beautiful outdoor art and appreciate the rich architecture.

Continue and visit the oldest house in town and learn about the artisan skills of the first pioneers who settled here. Meet talented crafts artists along the way and appreciate their stories behind their amazing creative designs.   During the tour visit a variety of handcrafted local food products and enjoy selected wines served with award-winning local cheeses, olives and traditional dried meat snacks (biltong & droëwors). Enjoy the taste of a micro-brewery complimented by top quality charcuterie and freshly baked bread. Conclude your afternoon with a taste of delectable confectionary treats complement by hand-roasted coffee. Return to quayside.
