After 2.5-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, guests are welcomed onboard at Cai Thia local market is part of Cai Be district, Tien Giang province.

Walk along the Cai Thia canal to visit Cai Thia church, My Luong temple, and the brick factory. Continue by boat to a local house where you will see how Vietnamese women still make traditional rice paper.

Next, our boat will arrive Tan Phong island. A row boat will take you deeper into the peaceful countryside through smaller canals. Arrive at a local home and be invited to enjoy homemade cakes and hot tea. Then, back to the boat for the cruise toward Cai Be district while guests can enjoy a special lunch served on boat with some local dishes

Afterwards, you will come to Cai Be floating market and cruise among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. Also, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where you can see how to make coconut candy, pop-rice, pop-corn, rice wine .

After visiting rice paper home, we have an optional biking trip (1 hr) to explore the famous village of Hoa Loc on small beautiful roads. SAS voyagers will see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and the activities local farmers, with an opportunity to talk with them and see how they catch fish or pick fruit. For those who cannot take bicycle ride other option is a leisurely short walk around the village.

The trip will end back at Cai Be pier in the late afternoon, from where you will return to Saigon.
