Given the intense rate of the economic growth of India, it has overtaken China and is now the fastest growing economy in Asia! There are two major cities in India – Delhi and Mumbai, which have been the driving force in India’s growth story. Get an immersive, on-the-ground look at industry and economy in these two important financial hubs.

Day 1 (March 2): Travel to Mumbai, and enjoy half-day tour of the city.

Day 2 (March 3): You will leave the Hotel (early!) this morning for a tour of Mumbai at sunrise! This Mumbai-by-Dawn tour takes you on a journey through the bustling city of Mumbai during the early morning hours, just as residents are waking up and starting their day. You will get an exclusive peek at the economic bedrock of this industrious city  and get insights into the city that tourists rarely see. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then drive to the Churchgate area to see the Dabbawallas. Operating for over 100 years, the Dabbawalas are workers who provide a lunch delivery service in Mumbai. At Churchgate you will explore how the Dabbawalas operate, examine their delivery process and coding system, and discover their strategies for working as a team to achieve a common goal. Later proceed to visit one of the stock exchanges in Mumbai which actually drive the Indian economy. In the afternoon, you will embark upon a Bollywood tour, which will give an insight into the multi-billion dollar Indian film industry based out of Mumbai. This tour will also include a short lesson on Bollywood dance moves. End the day with a visit to local market and a modern shopping mall in Mumbai.

Day 3 (March 4): The next morning you will fly from Mumbai to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Gurgaon. In the evening you will proceed to one of modern shopping malls in Gurgaon and enjoy dinner at a modern food hub before returning to your hotel.

Day 4 (March 5): This morning you will proceed to Old Delhi to see narrow markets. You will explore these streets booths on foot and by human powered rickshaw. This tour will also include a visit to Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in Asia. In the afternoon you will attend a lecture on “India – The emerging economic superpower” by a renowned economist.

Day 5 (March 6): Early this morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kochi.
