Enjoy a warm welcome from the University of Ghana, the oldest and largest of all Ghanaian universities and tertiary institutions. Founded in 1948 as the University College of the Gold Coast, it was originally an affiliate college of the University of London. In 1961, it gained full university status and now has nearly 40,000 students. This evening we will travel about 40 minutes from port to meet a few of these students and get some insights into their life and education. We’ll take a tour of the beautiful campus and be introduced to some of the active clubs and associations, as well as members of the student council. Together, enjoy a reception with light refreshments before we return to the ship
