ENGR 337 Engineering Thermodynamics

Overview of Course

This rigorous upper-division thermodynamics problem-solving course is designed to meet the academic requirements of typical ABET-approved engineering undergraduate programs. We will cover the first and second laws of thermodynamics, properties of pure substances, analysis of open and closed systems, and applications of thermodynamic principles to power and refrigeration cycles. We will explore these principles by analyzing the energy consumption of our voyage and the related carbon footprint of our experience, as well as exploring the range of energy use and trajectories of the many countries that we will visit.
