Overview of Course

Students in this course will develop an understanding of geological processes, natural hazards, earth resources, and their impacts on human populations. We will tie course concepts to the countries we will visit through relevant case studies. We will also consider how climate change may amplify the effects of these geological processes, hazards, and resource use, and how the world’s coastal areas might be preferentially impacted by these events.
