Overview of Course

This is a two-track class for our students. The first track of study will explore culinary tourism by understanding not only what is on the plate but beyond the plate! We will learn the cuisines of the ports of call and understand the activities of dining that include tourism and entertainment. This concept of study provides the students an approach to food at different levels, thus creating personal and authentic experiences.

The second track of study revolves around hospitality management which is an umbrella term that covers a wide variety of sub-industries such as special events, conventions and conferences. Students will learn the many responsibilities that fall to a hospitality manager and uncover the skills necessary to lead hospitality firms into the future.
