Semester at Sea Program Deposit
Cabin space is not guaranteed solely upon admission. Cabin types and voyages fill up quickly and space is reserved by order of deposit. If your cabin preference is full when you deposit, you will be placed on a cabin wait list. The $1,000 deposit will be your first payment toward the total cost of the program and will reserve your spot on the voyage. Your cabin assignment will directly impact your program fees. Check out our cabin tours and view our program fees prior to making your deposit.
Deposits are also accepted by check (payable to “Institute for Shipboard Education” Mail to: Institute for Shipboard Education, P.O. Box 842945, Dallas, TX 75284-2945).
Please note that the cancellation deadline for each voyage is approximately 90-days prior to the embarkation date. Unless your deposit was transferred from a previous voyage, your deposit is fully refundable up until 90-days prior to your voyage embarkation date. After this 90-day deadline, all deposits already paid and all new deposits are non-refundable.
Refer to your voyage page to determine your voyage cancellation deadline or contact an admission counselor at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Students applying for financial aid may be granted a deadline extension by contacting our offices. Additional information about our cancellation policies are also available on our frequently asked questions page.
