Through the Lens: Spring 2017 Voyage in China

The Spring 2017 Voyage arrived in Shanghai just in time for Chinese New Year. While ringing in the Year of the Rooster, students explored as much as they could, and participated in field programs like Hiking the Great Wall and enjoying Sunrise Tai Chi.

In addition to Field Programs, two Field Classes took place in China. Students in Professor Mary Ann Cutter’s Philosophical Issues in the in the Professions: Caring Professions class visited the University of Shanghai Chinese Traditional Medicine Museum to learn about how modern medicine incorporates traditional Chinese practices, while Professor Travis Maynard’s Leading High Performance Teams class learned how to work together during a Chinese cooking competition.

Below are some of the highlights.
