The Alumni Ball Was A Memorable Evening For Everyone

Written by: Dakota Klaes (Student)

Last night the shipboard community enjoyed the traditional Alumni Ball event to conclude the summer 2011 voyage. Attendants dressed in their finest outfits and enjoyed a bountiful and delicious feast consisting of shrimp cocktail, brochette, steak, salmon, and risotto. Before the meal, we each raised a glass to our journey, to our new friendships, and to the personal growth each of us has undergone since leaving the Bahamas.

Following the dinner, a decadent dessert buffet was offered in addition to a dance party being held poolside. Both served as festive post-meal entertainment that kept the good times going for several more hours into the night. The evening was a great change of pace from a normal evening onboard the ship and I think that it served to make the night more memorable.

Overall, the Alumni Ball was a fantastic way to end our voyage. From the dinner to the outdoor dance party, the event gave each of us one last great memory from our time spent together.
