Life at sea was by far my favorite part of semester at sea. From waking up to the ocean to the close bonds you get to make with classmates, faculty, and crew. One of my favorite memory at sea was trying to teach each other headed two-step, line dance, and swing dance all while laughing and enjoying being truly in that moment.

When I first began college, I was an athlete who was not going to have the opportunity to study abroad. Through different struggles – making the decision to quit a sport I once loved, a global pandemic, and transfering to a school where I knew nobody – I felt alone. When I first stepped onboard the MV World Odyssey, I knew I was in for the adventure of a lifetime, but I did not expect my life to change the way that it did. In just four short months, I met people who will be my friends for the rest of my life, and have made memories that will last a lifetime. The people that I met through Semester at Sea have made my college experience everything I could have dreamed of and more as a kid.

SAS was the experience of my life, truly something that made me approach life in a very different way. It broaden my horizons, and as a European citizen, it helped me learn about different cultures all around the world. As I said, a once in a lifetime experience, the experience of my entire life.
