Video: Service Learning at Karin Dom

In every port, there are many opportunities for students to explore new cultures beyond simply visiting tourist attractions. As one of our students said, “Seeing sights is great, but the best way to experience a culture and meet people is through service work and volunteering.”

That’s exactly what many of our students did during a visit to Karin Dom Foundation in Varna, Bulgaria. Karin Dom is an NGO that supports the social inclusion of children with special needs and their families. Our students worked and played with the children there and came away with a deeper appreciation for the work of the foundation.
