Attend Cape Town Open Ship and Hear a Special Exploratory Seminar hosted by Cathy Rodgers

Do you live in Cape Town, South Africa and want to visit the MV Explorer? Do you want to get a feel for what life is like on the ship? Now is your chance because we are opening our doors for visitors! Semester at Sea is having a duel Open Ship and Exploratory Seminar hosted by Cathy Rodgers in Cape Town on March 25th. Activities will include an informational session and seminar from one of our world class mentors, Cathy Rodger. Next, take a tour around the ship, exploring the classrooms, recreational facilities, study areas, computer lab, and library all found within our floating university.

Who is Cathy Rodgers?

Cathy Rodgers is a Semester at Sea alumna and the VP for Global Opportunities at IBM. She also chairs GTS Smarter Planet Global Advisory Board for IBM in addition to acting as President, CEO, and Chairman of the organization Rooted In Hope. She is passionate about women’s roles in the world and is an internationally renowned speaker and expert on environmental issues. In Cathy's family, sailing on Semester at Sea is a requirement!
