Overview of Course

Using drawing as a visual language, this course teaches the skills of documentation, focused observation, and exploration that is a component of creating images. Students will use gesture, mark, tone, and value to respond through drawing to the rich visual experience of our voyage from shipboard to port. Students will employ newly learned drawing techniques and a variety of drawing media to study their global environment through focused observation and artistic response.
