Overview of Course

Perspective is key. This course provides a forum for students to create multi-media storytelling in blog posts that combine photography, videography, and text. Content will analyze conceptual and photographic process for documentation and reflection of people, places, and themes. After port excursions on the voyage, students will develop multi-media posts focused on their experiences in that place. Students will be guided to develop their own personal visual
and written aesthetic, ensuring that the work reflects their specific “eye” and “voice. We will explore the inherent relationship between the journalist and the subject, and the ethical implications of global journalism.
