LAND 220 Fundamentals of Ecology [CRN 76871]

Overview of Course

This course introduces students to the principles and practices of ecology, including the study of patterns, processes, and changes in ecological systems at both regional and local spatial scales. The principles of ecology are introduced using the lens of sustainability and focus on examples of the integration of ecological and sustainable principles in the built environment. In addition to understanding the principles of ecology, during the Fall 2024 voyage, students will witness and compare how the ideas and systems interact with and affect the daily lives of people at each of the various ports.
