Semester at Sea Beach Meet-Up – The Netherlands Chapter

From ocean crossings to beach hangouts… it's finally time to reconnect because we're hosting the very first Semester at Sea alumni event in the Netherlands! An afternoon full of fun, connection, and good vibes by the water in the heart of the Netherlands. Whether you're an alum living in Utrecht or anywhere else in the country, everyone is welcome + a friend or partner! Date: Sunday, September 6, 2026 Location: Down Under (Nieuwegein, Utrecht) Ravensewetering 1, 3439 ZZ Nieuwegein, Netherlands Arrival & check-in: 12:15 (meet at the parking lot in front of the restaurant) Beach volleyball & hanging out: 12:30–14:30 Want to get changed? Feel free to arrive a little earlier to use the changing rooms. What to expect: FREE:•    🏐 2 hours of beach volleyball between 12:30–14:30 •    🎶 Good music and relaxed beach vibes •    🤝 Reconnecting with old friends and meeting fellow alumni •    🍟 Small fried snacks •    🕶️ Exclusive Semester at Sea swag Optional activities afterwards (at your own expense): •    🌊 Watersports: aquapark, waterskiing, wakeboarding, bodyboarding, or surfing (starting at €15 and can also be booked on the day of the event) •    ☀️ Beach access to swim or relax after volleyball (approximately €5) •    🥤 Drinks and additional food items (bring a water bottle!)
