Inspired to Serve at Omaha Beach

Meet Ryan Frazier, a student at the University of Colorado Boulder. Ryan is also a student on the Fall 2014 voyage and currently an officer candidate for the United States Marine Corps. When Ryan was 15 years old, he visited Omaha Beach in Normandy, France, the site where the allies stormed the beaches to liberate Europe from Nazi Germany during WWII.

The trip made a huge impression on Ryan. After returning home, he decided that one day he would serve his country.

Four years later, Ryan has returned to Omaha Beach with Semester at Sea. Watch his story and find out what Ryan discovers during his return to the American Cemetery.
