My job makes my day

recruiters for semester at sea encourage college students to study abroad on a ship
Me with my co-worker, Ryan

Some days I think about how lucky I am to have such a unique job. When most people are heading into their cubicle, a lot of days I’m already on the road headed to my next destination. During the busy season I average over 1000 miles a week of driving to promote the Semester at Sea program. With the exception of the grove of trees I will have to plant to make up for my carbon foot-print, this job is about as cool as they come.

I am a recruiter for Semester at Sea, so I basically encourage college students to live on a ship and travel around the world. Wow, the coolness of that statement still amazes me after 3.5 years of doing this job. I was lucky enough to participate in SAS twice as a student, so my enthusiasm for the program is real. Studying abroad with Semester at Sea changed my life, and now I get to encourage others to do the same.
