Shipboard community exhibits talent at The Sea Factor

One of the many highlights of the SAS voyage is the highly anticipated Talent Show, where students, staff and crew offer an fun-filled evening of song, dance and poetry. The highly-anticipated event was held in the union, which was transformed into a stage where over 30 acts performed in front of a packed house, with standing room only.

Between acts, hosts Stacey Miller and Resident Director Adam Jon Aparicio entertained the audience with skits, such as “You know you’re on Semester at Sea when…” and other humorous improv parodies about the summer voyage.

Adding a Latin flavor to the evening, Misha Zimmerman and Patrick Thom salsa danced. Tina Mensa-Kwao livened up the evening with an original rap song about the voyage, while David Cheetham and Harrison Tingler channeled their inner Frank Sinatra with a nostalgic rendition of “Fly Me to the Moon.”

Lynnea Malley, a Music major at Columbia College Chicago, performs an original song she wrote about Semester at Sea while her friends do an interpretive dance about the voyage.
Misha Zimmerman (University of Colorado, Boulder) and Patrick Thom (Oregon State University) dance the cha-cha.
And the delighted crowd goes wild!
