Summer 2013 Itinerary Update: Voyage Now Includes 9 Countries & 12 Ports, including Malta

To avoid political unrest in Egypt and Tunisia, the SAS Summer 2013 voyage (June 17 to August 22) has been revised to include calls on four new destinations: Antalya, Turkey; Valetta, Malta; Cadiz, Spain; and Lisbon, Portugal.

The 66-day voyage now spans 9 countries and 12 ports across the Mediterranean and North Africa and 3 overland ports: Italy (Livorno/Civitivecchia); France/Spain (Marseille/Barcelona), and Spain/Portugal (Cadiz/Lisbon), enabling participants to spend as many as 6 days exploring a country or region.

Revised Summer 2013 Itinerary:

  • Southampton, United Kingdom
  • Casablanca, Morocco
  • Antalya, Turkey
  • Istanbul, Turkey
  • Piraeus (Athens), Greece
  • Livorno*, Italy
  • Civitavecchia*, Italy
  • Valetta, Malta
  • Marseille*, France
  • Barcelona*, Spain
  • Cadiz*, Spain
  • Lisbon*, Portugal
  • Southampton, United Kingdom

*When the ship repositions to a different port in or near the same country, it is considered an overland port. This means that participants have the option of traveling with the ship as it relocates or staying in-country for the entire span of the scheduled time. The revised itinerary includes three overland ports.
