An Evening with Archbishop Desmond Tutu

On our last evening in South Africa the shipboard community was honored to host special guest Archbishop Desmond Tutu. A longtime supporter of Semester at Sea, the Archbishop treated students to a brief lecture followed by a conversation. Tutu shared his experiences working through the reconstruction of post-apartheid South Africa. He discussed the power of forgiveness and inspired students with a sense of the potential of youth. Above is part 1 of this historic evening.
