Celebrating 62 Years of Global Education: State of the Institute Fall 2025 Recap

On Founder’s Day, the Semester at Sea community came together to celebrate 62 years of global education and exploration during the 2025 State of the Institute address with President and CEO Scott Marshall.

During the live event, Scott shared exciting updates from the Fall 2025 Voyage, unveiled the Spring 2027 itinerary, and offered a forward-looking vision for the future of Semester at Sea and the Institute for Shipboard Education. His remarks highlighted our continued commitment to transformational learning, lifelong connections, and a globally minded community that spans generations of voyagers.

The program also featured special appearances from familiar faces—including a Semester at Sea alum who became one of the most recognizable figures in the United States during the 1980s and 1990s—adding a nostalgic and celebratory touch to the evening.

As we look ahead, Semester at Sea remains dedicated to fostering intercultural understanding and personal growth through the power of global education.

We invite alumni, parents, and friends to watch the full recording and stay connected as we continue charting the next chapter of our shipboard legacy.
