Elephant vs Dragon

In many crucial respects, India and China are very similar: they have land size, population, even colonial experience. However, China is now the world's second largest economy, while India lags behind in life expectancy, education, and infrastructure. One of the main differences between the two countries is their political system – China has the world's largest authoritarian government, while India has the world's largest democracy.
