The Institute for Shipboard Education (ISE) is pleased to offer a $10,000 scholarship for students attending a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) to participate in spring or fall Semester at Sea voyages. All participants receive a full semester’s worth of undergraduate credits from Colorado State University.
ISE believes that international exposure is a critical element in today’s undergraduate education, offering students a real-life global education experience that will give them an edge in this highly competitive job market. The program is open to students, regardless of their major.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:
- Maintain full-time undergraduate enrollment at a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) that is a member of HACU
- Demonstrate leadership through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities
During the voyage, HACU scholars will be expected to serve as ambassadors for Semester at Sea. This entails posting pictures and video reflections of their experience on social media, participating in the Diversity Peer Mentor Programs, and being involved with student affinity groups.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a confirmed voyager who has paid your deposit.
