International Education Week – Les McCabe speaks at TEDxUCIrvine on the Global Perspective Imperative

To help celebrate International Education Week take a moment to watch President McCabe speak on the Global Perspective Imperative at TEDxUCIrvine in March 2012. President McCabe’s talk focused on the concept of what it takes to achieve a global perspective and how it is an essential part of student’s undergraduate education. “I believe every college student should leave their undergraduate education with a global perspective and I have dedicated my career to this pursuit.”

President Les McCabe To Speak at TEDxUCIrvine Salon on Tuesday, Nov. 13

The upcoming TEDxUCIrvine Salon, The Pursuit of a Global Perspective, will include a discussion on new ways of thinking about culture, the value of learning from different parts of the world, and what we can do to peacefully exist within a global society. President Les McCabe (a UC Irvine alumnus) will join Graham Michael Freeman, co-founder of Nomads in Touch and Prof. Daniel Wehrenfennig, executive director of the Olive Tree Initiative for an intimate, TED-like event as part of UC Irvine’s International Education Week. President McCabe presented “The Global Perspective Imperative” at TEDxUCIrvine in March 2012.
