ISE Announces Exciting Changes to 2013 Voyage Itineraries

Semester at Sea to Return to Burma in Spring 2013

After careful assessment, the Institute for Shipboard Education has added the port of Rangoon, Burma (Myanmar) to the Spring 2013 voyage itinerary, replacing Penang, Malaysia. This will be the first call on Burma since 2006, when Semester at Sea discontinued visiting the country due to political and human rights issues. In recent months, the United States has fully restored diplomatic relations, taken steps to re-establish a USAID Mission in country, and eased financial and investment sanctions. Given these advances, Semester at Sea will once again call on this fascinating and remarkable country. The Spring 2013 itinerary can be viewed at semesterseadev.wpengine.com/voyages/spring-2013/.
