Semester at Sea finalizes Fall 2023 itinerary with Mauritius, Malaysia, Vietnam

Semester at Sea Community,

Thanks to the hard work of our ship management partners, ISE staff, and numerous port officials, as well as the insights and encouragement provided by your voyage leadership team, we have just secured the remaining ports for the Fall 2023 Voyage.

Following the Nov. 13-18 stay in Cape Town, South Africa, voyagers will set sail for a one-day port in Port Louis, Mauritius, on Nov. 25 (0900-1800; on-ship time will be 1600). The Captain and crew will then set the World Odyssey on a course for Penang, Malaysia, for a five-day port, arriving Dec. 5 at 1000 and departing at 1600 on Dec. 9 (on-ship time: 1400). From there, voyagers will visit Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, arriving with the tide at 1800 Dec. 12 and departing the morning of Dec. 17 at 0600 (on-ship time will be Dec. 16 at 2200).

The fall voyage will arrive as planned in Bangkok, Thailand, on Dec. 22 at 0800.

If we’ve learned anything over our 60-year history, and these last three weeks, it’s that plans may change. And certainly, should your safety and security require it, we will not hesitate to make additional adjustments. However, with these final ports secured, I encourage voyagers to lean into their preparations and get excited about all that lies ahead.

Sincerely,

Scott Marshall
