Support V.Ships Crew Members Affected by Typhoon Haiyan

Dear Semester at Sea Friends and Family:

As we continue to follow the sad news about the vast devastation and loss of life in the Philippines, please keep our crew members and their families in your thoughts and prayers. As you may know, many of our crew members are Filipino. Some of them have been with our program for many years and all of them are an integral part of the SAS family.

We have been in direct contact with Captain Kingston and V.Ships since the disaster occurred. As of this date, we are not aware of any crew member whose family has been directly impacted. However, we remain in close contact with Captain Kingston and will provide whatever support is necessary.

V.Ships has created a relief fund for Filipino crew on all of their ships. Please see bank details below should you be interested in donating. Remittance details should be forwarded to the email address below.

This is a challenging time for our crew as they continue to serve our program under difficult circumstances and uncertainty.  We deeply appreciate their dedication and our thoughts and prayers remain with them and their families.

Warm regards,
